Director of Marketing

Novarra, the internet mobility company, seeks enthusiastic, creative and decisive marketing directors in our Itasca, IL and UK offices. These positions report to the VP of Marketing. You will develop and lead company and region branding, messaging, and marketing communications initiatives. The ideal candidate is a team-player with strong initiative and experience developing and leading marketing programs targeted at mobile network operators.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create and implement overall branding and messaging for company/products
• Work with clients to launch/market Novarra solutions to their subscriber base
• Work with Sales, Product Management and Engineering to develop marketing materials
• Develop/write press releases, collateral, white papers, website content, case studies, newsletters, etc.
• Develop and produce webinar series for target audience to create sales leads, promote thought leadership
• Develop, maintain Novarra blog to reach developer community and become voice of Novarra for industry blogs
• Provide guidance and input to internal teams
• Oversee the design of company website, signage, collateral, software branding, etc.
• Manage budget for activities and assess ROI
• Support company efforts in public relations, sales lead generation, and international region-specific marketing programs
• Support tradeshow/event promotion and participation and advertising campaigns
• Group leadership responsibilities dependent upon prior experience

REQUIREMENTS:
• MUST HAVE:
o 5+ years of B2B software marketing experience in the wireless or telecom industry
o Success in developing and implementing comprehensive branding/messaging campaigns
o Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
o Ability to translate complex technology into easy-to-understand collateral and messaging
o Strong computer skills
o Occasional travel to trade shows and major international offices

• DESIRABLE:
o Experience managing international integrated marketing campaigns
o Startup experience
o BS in Marketing, Technology or related field. MBA a plus
